What I was doing while on hiatus

During my hiatus from G'n Dach! I was still keeping busy. In fact I kept creating websites and having ideas for them. However only one of them actually was posted post G'n Dach! I decided to let you all see the variety of websites I'd been working on during my hiatus.

Robot Master 3

This is the only website that I made after G'n Dach! that I actually bothered posting. I was - and still am into Rockman and while maintaining G'n Dach! it became heavily Rockman oriented. So I decided that rather than dedicate this site to Rockman I'd just take this one down a put up a Rockman website.

This site used i-frames the side navigation folders consisted (from top to bottom) Main, Updates, Fan Fiction, Fan Art, Comics, Extras and E-mail all focusing on Rockman.

I'd say the website lasted about four to six months and I just didn't feel that I was getting enough of my own ideas out so I took it down.

Rabbit Incantation

Rabbit Incantation was going to be home to my online radio play by the same name. It was to have Story Summaries, Character Biographies, Voice Actor Biographies, Clips and a section to Purchase the CD that would have no doubt been produced after I had everything together.

The project didn't last too long. I've got some story ideas and a half written script, but I remembered Okage RW my attempt at writing an Okage radio play. There I had a handful of people submit their lines and the rest just stopped emailing me. It put a real damper on the project and I decided to save myself the hassle(hoff).

It was a simplistic and feminine layout for a girly story - which considering most of my previous websites (Nurse Angel Ririka ASAP excluded) is not my first choice.

Shitennou HQ

Another i-frames website. I was going for a simplistic design and I think I achieved that. However I did not like the content screen with this website. You might notice the lack of a navigation bar, that is because to navigate the website you had to click on the images of the Bomberman Shitennou.

As you can well imagine this was a fan site dedicated to the Bomberman Shitennou from Bomberman Jetterz.

The main reason I did not bother to post the website was because I did not think the layout was functional enough, that and I didn't have enough original content to warrant its upload.

Shitennou HQ

But never one to give up I decided to try and impress myself with a different layout. I really like this group of four and wanted to give them an internet presence. I thought perhaps by adding a more functional layout - still i-frames - I would like the site more. As you can tell by the navigation bar there is much more going on. The first version only had four sections. I won't bother listing everything as I'm certain you can read this navigation bar.

Still I never completed the content and thus the website was never posted. It's just so hard to find Bomberman Jetterz information and fans out there, let alone fans of the Shitennou.

Barbieland

I know that I said Rabbit Incantation was one of my few "girly" websites - aside from Nurse Angel Ririka ASAP - but this too was a somewhat feminine design. Pink. Lots of pink was going to be used in this website.

The rest of the website was never actually created just this opening page and some bits and pieces of information typed that would have been posted. Oh, and some images. Yes, there were photographs taken.

The site was to be based on the glorious land of Barbieland. Where Princess Barbie lives with her harem of husbands including Raoul (an old Jughead doll), Dr. Paul (an army man), Shaun Connery (another army man) and various others and her adopted headless zombie son Horace, and daughter Lorelei (daughter of Princess Barbie and Shaun Connery).

The site also was supposed to contain a family tree of Barbieland's royal family, and the other characters involved. The world alternating between past and 8-10 years in the future. Meaning it would have been a very intricate character tree, and there would have had to be timelines. There was just an overwhelming amount of work that would have been required to create this website. Then I'm certain after I would have posted this site I would have been forced by Mattel to remove it as it would be so much better than their storylines.

Critical

Take three!

Yes I tried again with a Bomberman Jetterz page. This one dedicated to the best character in the entire series, Thunder Bomber. Isn't he so cute. He's so expressive and emotional all the time, it's so endearing.

The top image is the splash page that was to great the visitor and below is the static pop-up window that would have appeared when one entered the website. Again I used a iframes.

The icons in the corner were for navigating the website, Home, Information, Fan Art, Fan Fiction, Links and Email.

I had information but I had none of the other things that I wished to add to the site. I would never wish to attempt to draw him - I'd end up making the cutie look ugly. I have tried twice to write fan fiction with him in it. I have the ideas but I just can't seem to write anything that I would want to attach my name to - so I have nothing to show. The Links section would have been quite bare as there are so few Bomberman websites out there.

Again I dropped the idea. I just couldn't go through with it.

Shöpfungskraft

Yes there are Disney characters on the banner. I don't know if I should be ashamed of the fact or proud that I'd actually put something like that up.

Now some of you might be wondering exactly why I'd put characters from Darkwing Duck and DuckTales on my website. ...because...mumble....mumble...fan fiction... If you didn't get that it's because I had started writing a fan fiction. It's called Criminal Intent. It's not very good. It's incomplete. It's wasting valuable space on fanfiction.net. I was very bored.

Then there are those two dogs and the pig. Their from the video game Dogz 4. I was working on a comic for them and thought I'd add it to the website. I wasn't enthralled by the comic though so I didn't bother continuing passed page four.

We all know why Roll's there. The Rockman section.

So there you have it!

I went through all of these ideas and returned to my old one. Was I wasting time? Nah, I learned how to make iframes and use pop-up windows for good I even learned a bit of Java. Yay me! Will I ever implement my newfound skills? Probably not, but we'll just have to wait and see.
