While "The Computer Killed Rock n Roll" is in print here's your chance to download all the tracks for free for the month of November - my gift to you for finding me here.

But here's the catch. Do something nice for someone today - like give a homeless fellow a hand, or donate your time or a few bucks to one of our cancer or heart and stroke societies - something!

And of course, be sure to get out to one of my shows and check back here for dates. I guarantee it will sizzle your f*cking face off and you'll have a great time.

Watch for the full CD coming soon and thanks for dropping in.
- Deon

Deon Wysocki
is quirky retro pop-rock with a twist of reggae and ska.  He also helps produce young aspiring talent and occasionally rocks out with The Guess Who's Bill Wallace.

His latest effort "The Computer Killed Rock n Roll" is a skankin' tribute to the death of rock 'n roll, full of all the playful cynicism, civil disobedience and subtle commercial hooks you'd expect from Deon.

Not fitting in is a common theme in his songs and Deon regularly pokes fun at himself, modern day pop cliches and even his audience from time to time. He also writes about growing up in Winnipeg's tough Point Douglas area, getting burned, friends lost and love learned.

"'I was the guitar nerd at St. John's High, but never got teased by the hardcore rockers so there was no pressure to fit in. My dad owned the neighborhood pool hall where they bought their drugs so they knew better, “chuckles Deon.

Deon has also worked with Remy Shand (Motown/Universal) and continues to help produce budding young talent through his music production company, Nosey Mosquito Music Group. He also put together a group with The Guess Who’s Bill Wallace which performs across Canada.

Through his music and work with Nosey Mosquito, Deon aims to bring us back to our roots by reminding us of what he feels makes Winnipeg music great – taking risks.

“We've forgotten how to do that because we’ve been pretending to be Van-Francisco far too long,” he says.

Perhaps it wasn't the computer that killed rock 'n roll after all.
