DEON WYSOCKI is a Winnipeg born singer, songwriter and producer best known for his quirky retro pop-rock sound. He has also worked with Grammy Nominee Remy Shand and occasionally rocks out with The Guess Who's Bill Wallace and Donnie McDougall.
But most importantly, Deon is a performer at heart who consistently delivers a fun, high energy "kick ass" rock show.
Here's the dish on his works:
2010: The North End Tribute
Deon gets back to the old neighborhood with this humble little handful of piano and acoustic songs written about - you guessed it - Winnipeg's North End. No ambiguous lyrics or political shots here, just great ghetto stories. Check out "The Sutherland Man" and "North End High."
2010: The Computer Killed Rock n Roll
A skankin' tribute to the death of rock 'n roll, full of all the playful cynicism, civil disobedience and clever hooks you'd expect from Deon.
Throughout his songs Deon regularly pokes fun at himself, modern day pop clichés and even his audience from time to time.
But mostly he writes about growing up in the North End, getting burned, friends lost and love learned.
And let's not forget it's him playing all the instruments and singing all vocals on his self-produced albums.
2008: No Film
Deon's most popular album to date, which sparked off dozens of successful shows throughout Manitoba including a performance at the Rockin' The Fields of Minnedosa and was well received by critics. Read some press reviews below.

Deon Wysocki @ Dylan's Pembina
Point Douglas native Deon Wysocki graduated from the same high school as Burton Cummings, and used to jam with Grammy nominee Remy Shand before the two had a nasty falling-out. These days, the retro-rocker is busy supporting his new EP Mellow Hello, and the tune New Motown Son (one of many on his MySpace page) suggests Wysocki is ready to forgive and forget. Cover $5.

"No Film might be the most original album in this quarter’s crop of local releases. Deon Wysocki’s five-song EP is a fuzzy trip into the world of quirky retro pop-rock. Wysocki is a producer and engineer – he’s worked with Remy Shand – and his skill behind the boards show through in the well-placed flourishes on Death by Radio. Wysocki’s fiddling around with effects, but it works and makes the track something out of the ordinary. Overall, No Film is a catchy disc that demands a full-length release...Wysocki goes four for five here, and that ain’t a bad average at all.

"It's clear from this outing that Deon Wysocki grew up on a steady diet of grunge and Midwestern college rock. This is "No Film" picks up where 2006's EP No Film left off - and the whole thing rocks to varying degrees from beginning to end. In Case I Forget is catchy as hell, and tracks such as Death by Radio showcase Wysocki's skills behind the board (he's a seasoned producer and engineer..."
