Snacks: The centre will provide both a morning and aftenoon snack to all children that are in attendance at snack time. Each snack served will include three of the four food groups as per the Canada Food Guide and is meant as a supplement to meals at home, not a replacement. Snack times can be found on the daily schedule. The weekly menu is posted at each entrance. |

Optional Lunch Program: An optional lunch program for preschool children and infants on table food is available at a cost of $2.50* per day. The lunch fee, which is not government-subsidized, will be billed in advance with the regular child care fees for a two week period. A Lunch Program Registration Form will need to be filled out for each child upon enrolment. If at any time throughout the year you opt to start or withdraw your child from the lunch program, a new form will need to be filled out and two weeks notice will be required. As with snacks, the lunch menu for the current week is posted at each entrance. Lunch will consist of servings from each of the four food
groups, with two from fruits and vegetables, as per the Canada Food Guide. Children are encouraged to try a little bit of everything, unless prohibited due to allergies or religious practises. |
