| What is a Handball Ladder? |
A good "Handball Ladder" is designed to promote competition and encourage players of all levels to compete against each other, "On any given day..." A ladder never ends. There is an ongoing ranking system, which promotes continued play and competition. As a given player improves, his / her position on the ladder will steadily climb. Matches are not scheduled for you. You schedule your own match when you want to play, or are challenged. |
| Rules of the Handball Ladder |
1. You can play 1 - 21 point game to count as a challenge match. Or it could be to 31 points, or 2 - 21 point games, tie-breaker to 11 points. 2. You don't have to accept more than one challenge per week. NEW RULE - 3. In order to claim your prize, you must report the scores of at least 3 challenges per month. 4. You can only challenge anyone in the row above you. 5. Winners report the winner's name, loser's name, and the score to chrisenns@mts.net for posting. A results list will be posted periodically outside the courts at the U. of W. 6. On the last day of each month, the top 3 players will receive a major incentive. NEW RULE - 7. The top player of each bracket will receive a major incentive. An additional third prize will be awarded for the person who moves the most positions or who successfully defends his spot on the ladder by accepting the most challenges. This person will be known as the “mover and shaker” . You cannot win more than one prize per month. 8. If you want your name added or deleted from the ladder, |
