My "Lord of the Rings" Painted Miniatures
Aragorn
Looking very dark and moody, but that's Aragorn.
He's painted on a black primer, largely with GW paints.
...slowly, I'm getting my Fellowship figures finished!
Gandalf the Grey
Boromir
The lanyard (rope) on the horn was an afterthought conversion.
I had to carefully drill holes in the painted horn to fit in the lanyard.
The "rope" was made from twisting a very thin strip of lead foil,
the soft metal wrapping you find on fancier wine bottles.
Swordsmen of Gondor
The four versions of the Gondorian Swordsmen.
Legolas
The skintone on Legolas might look too pale, but he's an Elf.
We only have human actors to portray Elven beings, so I've
chosen to paint this figure with lighter skin than the human actor.
Compare Legolas to the ruddy complexion of Boromir above.
Elven Archers
Two of the Elven Bowmen figures.
Lurtz
I was very pleased with outcome of the "White Hand" warpaint on Lurtz.
Unfortunately, the lower jaw fangs look like part of the warpaint!
