Atkins Curling Supplies Charity Classic

for the 2009 Atkins Curling Supplies Charity Classic. This women’s Manitoba Curling Tour event will be held from Oct 9-12, 2009 at the Charleswood Curling Club in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This will be a CTRS eligible event.
This event has been expanded to 24 teams which will be divided into 4 divisions. Participating teams are guaranteed 5 games. The opening draw is slated for 12:00pm on Friday, October 9. The top 2 finishers from each division will advance to the playoff round on Thanksgiving Monday. Tie breaks will be played Sunday evening if required. Click here for the 24 team schedule.
The curlers will be competing for a purse of $14,000. Of the 8 qualifiers, the champion will go home with $4000, the runner-up with $2200, semifinalists will receive $1200 and the remaining 4 qualifiers will earn $750. Every round robin game will also have a $40 prize awarded to the winner. The team entry fee is $550. The purse is based on full entry and divisional sponsorship and subject to change.
