This little project was started on bravado. In all my excitement on receiving Gamemaker (this was within the first week of receiving it) I told my friend I could create a complete game in under an hour. Just name the game. Well, we were about 13 or 14, so the game of Tag was decided upon. It would be a two player game, similar to tag we played in the neighborhood.
My friend drew the guy on the right really quickly, with no animation at all and "wheel" feet. I drew the guy on the left, once again real quickly. The background is very simple and was ripped off quite quickly as I recall, being all rectangles and straight lines.
The other things in the picture are sprites, included with Gamemaker. Basically you touch the other guy and get a point. Avoid the dog and the car and I think if the runner gets to the ball it is good.
I can't remember if we finished in under an hour or not, but one thing I do remember is that this game is very lame. About the only thing that stands out is that it is a two player game, somewhat of a rarity back then (Spy vs. Spy comes to mind).
