Jack

This was the first "game" I designed with Gamemaker. Mostly it was just play to learn about the various aspects of Gamemaker. Pretty much no thought went into the actual gameplay, other than it would play like Pitfall. The concepts I wanted to play with were:

The background scenery is not bad considering the state of games in 1985. Music plays non-stop from the time the game starts. Our hero Jack was hacked out rather quickly using the Spritemaker with only 2 frames of animation. Jack always moves right to left, and as soon as he touches the pot a new scene is displayed.

When Jack hits the hole sprite he dissapears and we hear a cartoon bomb-dropping sound. Thats about all there is to say about this game. It pretty much was used as a learning experience and it served its purpose.
