Registered Psychologists
Dr. Walker received his Masters Degree and Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the University of Manitoba. He completed his clinical psychology internship at the Mendota Mental Health Institute in Madison, Wisconsin. He has a special interest in cognitive behavior therapy and self-help approaches.
specializes in anxiety disorders and related conditions. She received her master's degree in Experimental & Applied Behaviour Analysis and Ph.D. with training in Cognitive Behavior Therapy from the University of Manitoba and Medical College of Pennsylvania. Her special interests are: trauma, obsessive compulsive behavior, and in disability management.
Dr. Trigg is the Clinical Director of the Cognitive Behaviour Therapy Institute. She has extensive experience working with adults, children and families in the mental health, child welfare and school systems. She has a special interest and expertise in relationships, parenting, family issues and post-traumatic stress. Dr. Trigg was formerly the Chief Executive Officer of Winnipeg Child and Family Services and the Executive Director of New Directions for Children, Youth & Family. In addition to her clinical work she has extensive experience as a supervisor and trainer and in administrative roles.
Dr. Michelle Warren is a graduate of the clinical psychology program at Simon Fraser
University. She specializes in the assessment and treatment of adults and children with anxiety disorders, depression, and trauma, and works with couples and families.
Dr. BILL LEONHART, C. Psych. received his Ph.D. from the University of Manitoba. He is
interested in helping individuals with disability prevention, chronic pain, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, panic attacks and depression using applied behavior analysis, cognitive behavior therapy and mindfulness based approaches. He also has experience consulting with care providers of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities with challenging behaviours.
Dr. Ediger has a special interest in blending cognitive behaviour therapy with mindfulness based approaches to change and coping. His practice focuses on anxiety, mood difficulties, chronic pain and health concerns in adults and adolescents. He has extensive experience with disability claims and return to work issues.
Dr. Abdulrehman received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Manitoba. His clinical interests include working with anxiety disorders and depression. More specialized interests include treatment of social anxiety, shy bladder (paruresis), and working with adult male survivors of sexual abuse. Dr. Abdulrehman also works with cross cultural issues in psychology.
Dr. Piotrowski received her Master’s degree in experimental psychology and Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the University of Manitoba. She completed her clinical psychology internship in Neuropsychology at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. Her interests include cognitive behavior therapy for anxiety, depression, and adjustment to life circumstances.
Dr. Lubusko received his M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Manitoba and completed his Clinical Psychology internship at the Student Counselling and Career Centre at the University of Manitoba. His clinical interests include anxiety and post-traumatic stress, depression, self-control/emotional regulation difficulties (e.g., anger management, adult ADHD), return-to-work issues, and couples counselling. Dr. Lubusko is fluent in Polish and works primarily with adults, college/university students, and adolescents.
Matthew Bailly, Ph.D., C.Psych. completed an internship at London Health
Sciences Centre, and received his doctorate from the University of North Dakota. He
provides psychological assessment and treatment to adults and adolescents, and provides
services for depression, anxiety, workplace stress, chronic illness adjustment, and couples
issues. In addition, he provides services for managing chronic illness such as diabetes, or
conditions like obesity.
Clinical Associates
Kathryn Sexton will be graduating in 2011 with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, which she
completed in the Anxiety Disorders Laboratory at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec. In
2009-2010, during the final year of her doctoral training, she completed a one-year APA/CPA-
approved clinical internship in the Clinical Health Psychology Program at St. Boniface General
Hospital and the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba. In October of 2010, she joined
the IBD Clinical and Research Centre in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Manitoba
as a postdoctoral fellow. She is also in supervised private practice with the Cognitive Behaviour
Therapy Institute of Manitoba. Kathryn Sexton specializes in the treatment of anxiety and mood
disorders, sleep difficulties, and illness adjustment.
Lois Callander, B.A. (Hons), M.A., M.A. Lois Callander received her Bachelor’s Degree
in Psychology from the University of Winnipeg and then went on to complete two Master’s
Degrees in Psychology. She has been working with the CBTI group for a number of years
helping adults experiencing anxiety, depression and adjustment difficulties. She has a special
interest in helping people with fear of flying.
Brad Zacharias received his Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of Manitoba. He has experience treating anxiety and depression in children, adolescents and adults within the context of individual therapy, group therapy, and parent consultation. His experience with parent consultation also includes the development of strategies/plans to help children with behavioural and attention problems as well as difficulties attending school.
Many services are provided by Clinical Associates working in consultation with and under the supervision of a registered psychologist. Associates have training at the Master’s Degree level in psychology and have extensive experience in cognitive behaviour therapy. All registered psychologists are members of PAM (http://www.cpmb.ca/)
