Web Design
Over the past 8 years, I have gone from using a built in site-maker at Homestead.com to using programs such as Netscape Composer and Dreamweaver UltraDev to building sites by hand, using CSS and XHTML. These are some of the latest efforts, either coding from scratch, or heavily modifying base templates created by others.

Sacred Triskele - my personal website dedicated to sharing my views on the pagan faith. Sacred Triskele began on Homestead in 1999 quickly moving to Crosswinds and almost immediately thereafter moving to Faithweb. By October of 2001, I purchased hosting on the amazing Drak.net servers, including domain name. Sacred Triskele has been there ever since. For the past year the site has been contained in a WordPress content mangement system (basically, a blog).

More Than One Me came about over the course of several weeks in late 2005. Over those weeks, I moved content from various topics at an online community slash content provider who broke a legal contract to have the material. Since I covered so many topics, and continue to have so many aspects in my life, I felt it was a great place to house them all. As the blog is now going private, I'm only linking to a bigger picture.

Jodi Lee Bleeds - my author site, with occasional professional rants and raves. When I get news of a new acceptance, or rejection, or whatever may come along in my wordy life, I post it here. This site is also a WordPress Content management system - yes, blog. I've used a very heavily modified version of the Illuminated Blue theme.

Marked in Red - Louise Bohmer, Jeremy Seffens and I have created Marked in Red to localize our freelance editorial efforts. Marked has reasonable rates, fast turn-arounds and we're always friendly. Market news, articles, interviews and the occasional answered question can be found at this site. Again, WP CMS with a modified Simply Green theme.

The Black Act - The first of three sites I'm designing for Louise Bohmer, to showcase her upcoming novel, The Black Act. Image placement influenced by Dieter Schneider's "Silence and Harmony".
Cover Design
Cover design is a relatively new credit to my list, although I designed 90% of the covers for the 3Sides Publishing (defunct) releases. In 2006 I designed several 'teaser' covers for a signature image used on the NaNoWriYe boards. I might even post them someday, too.
Just playing around with images, textures and lighting in a sample cover for my novel, Samhain's Call. The statue featured in the photo is of Cupid and Pysche from Greek mythology, and I toned it using a sepia overlay in Adobe Photoshop. After manipulating the lighting source and lowering the contrast while raising the brightness, I reached an aged ivory look that I'm quite happy with.
Another mock-up for Samhain's Call, using more traditional coloring for the season. While this isn't my favorite cover of the collection, it does show a nice contrast between the Callas, candles and title.
Mock-up for an as of yet unwritten short or novella that's been kicking around in my head. The photo is used courtesy of StockXChange. I touched it up in Adobe Photoshop to get the result I was seeking.
Mock-up for an as of yet unwritten vampiric erotica novella that's been kicking around in my head. The photo is used courtesy of StockXChange. The female model didn't have fangs before...Adobe Photoshop came in handy!
Absolutely no story goes with this one. I was testing out some new PS tools and worked this one out over several hours.
Mock-up for an anthology from Simian Publishing. unfortunately it wasn't what they were looking for, so I've posted it here as a sample. If anyone has a project that could use the cover - I have the working files without text. It is available.
Card Design
I'll be posting the greeting cards on a separate page, once I have them ready to post.
