Tim Schouten

Tunnelwood Studios, located on an 80-acre horse ranch north of Netley Creek will be “On The Wave” for the June weekend this year. Tim Schouten currently works primarily in encaustic, a hot wax medium and has been exploring historical, landscape and equine motifs in his painting and drawing. Paintings from three recent series, The Treaty 4 Suite (Adhesions- westward into the Indian Country), The St. Peters Reserve Project and In the Absence of Horses are hanging on the walls of the studio this summer.

Tim Schouten has shown his work in solo and group exhibitions across Canada and in the U.S. He has received awards from Canada Council, Manitoba Arts Council and the Ontario Arts Council and his work can be found in private, corporate and public collections. Schouten is represented by Artfirm Gallery in Calgary and by Ken Segal Gallery in Winnipeg.

Tunnelwood Ranch is 3 miles north of Petersfield and 1/4 mile west of Highway 9 on Municipal Road #91 at 753 Taylor Road.
