How it All Began...

Web Services

I first began working on web sites in 2002.

My first project was helping the Herb Society of Manitoba to downsize their then relatively new web site to something that was manageable by a volunteer rather than a costly professional web design and maintenance service. Over the years, I re-built the site at least 3 times, improving the content and layout, tweaking the colour scheme and graphics... This past fall, after 8 years as Web Master, I passed the Herb Society of Manitoba Web Site Chair position on to another volunteer.

In 2003, I became Editor of The Prairie Garden (2004 to 2007 editions) and as part of my editorial duties, I designed a web site for this unique Canadian annual gardening publication. So started the PG's web presence. In 2007, a new Editor took over, and since then, the PG web site has evolved to what it is today.

In early 2006, I helped a long time friend develop a web site for their real estate business. Sampson's Realty Group is still a client; their web site evolving as my skills have developed.

Document Services

Over the years, I have worked in many administrative and/or clerical support positions, and one constant in my work life has been the creation of a vast array of documents.

I have worked on documents as small as business cards, as short as one page letters and invoices to two sided one page pamphlets, to moderately long technical specifications and long student theses for masters and PhD programs, to very, very long multiple volume reports. I actually can't think of a type of document I haven't had a hand in.

If you need help in any of the following areas, I can help You!

  • Word processing: copy/data entry

  • Document editing

  • Document formatting

  • Graphics preparation and insertion

  • Creation of supporting tables, figures and charts to illustrate data

  • Hard copy or electronic copy production
