It did not stop for her introductory speach of 'You may not pass beyond this point! All who break the taboo, must die!', or even to say 'Hello' or what it was doing. It just went on it's sparkly way, with out a care in the underworld. As quick as it appeared, it was gone. Back in time. The Guardian of the door dropped her head in angst. "Chronos is gonna have my head for this..." ***************************************************************** It's arrival on the rural planet in the Milky Way...was less then glamorous. Sure, other falling stars got to look like meteors, and were famous as soon as they are discovered. This one didn't even *get* discovered. It just fell. End of story. Although, when it hit the grassy patch of land in Tenth Hill Park, it wasn't a normal falling star. It was a teenage boy. Decked out in a red suit, with matching shoes no less, the figure started to stir. At first, it only mummbled a few choice words. "Itai!" being one of them. What would you expect? Falling to the ground at that speed *would* hurt. As soon as it opened it's sapphire eyes, they clashed with a pair of crystal blue ones. "Ano*," the girl said in a worried voice. "Are you alright?" His mouth curved into a smile as he reconized the angel looking down upon him. What luck! That wishing buisness really does do things right! "I am now. Thanks for your concern, Odango Atama." he said patting one of the golden buns on top of her head. "Hey! Don't insult me! I was walking along, minding my own buisness when I heard some painful moaning. I could have left you here ya know!" she yelled with spite. "But you didn't! And it wasn't an insult, more of a complement." he smirked, walking away. "Nani?" "Matta ne! Odango!" the man with a long navy-black ponytail raised his arm to signal his leaving. ******************************************************** Seiya, the wandering shooting star, was living up to his reputation. Walking about in downtown Tokyo, he noticed how things were different two years in the past. There were no super popular idol groups , some buildings haven't been built...But most of all, there was absolutly no news of Sailor Moon or the Sailor Senshi. Apparently, there were no monsters or youma either. He sighed. Peace at last. Something caught his attention. On his merry stroll, he walked by a local arcade. In the window, there was the only evidence of the fabled soldiers that would come to be the heros of this city. It was a blonde haired girl in red goggles and a cresent moon on her forehead. Her name was "Sailor-V". Seiya couldn't contain his laughter at seeing the poster. Even with some stares from the passers-by. So this is what Mina did before Tokyo! He couldn't wait any longer. He went in and looked in the manga rack, picking one of them up. There she was! In all her black and white glory! Falling in love, having a cat yell at her to train, and chasing a man called "Kaitou Ace*". He looked at one particular scene. She had just transformed, and was making her little speach. 'Codename: Sailor-V! Seigi no Senshi! Sailor fuku bijin senshi, Sailor Venus! Sanjiyou!' He was laughing even harder now. Tears were coming out of his eyes, he was holding his sides, the whole shabang. Almost dropping the comic, he managed to wheeze out, "Yaten would be having a field day!" Turning the page, he looked at her attack. "Rolling Screw Sailor-V Punch!" Trying to contain the giggles that would be his downfall in public, he bit his lip. Nope, that didn't work either. Seiya guffawed loudly and caught the attention of the guy behind the counter. He had blonde hair, tall build, and was wearing a red apron. Typical arcade worker. "Sailor-V, ne? She's pretty new around here. But very well-known. Would you like to buy it?" he politely made conversation. He was still trying to control himself, but said while snickering, "Sure.." He handed over a wad of money that had mysteriously been supplied to him in his pants' pocket. he thought to himself with girlish glee as he starting reading the shoujo manga again. Before exiting the place that he know knew the name of, Crown Game Center, a high pitched shriek that could only belong to one person came within ear shot. "Motoki-nii-san*! I'll have the usual!" Seiya whipped his head around to see that Usagi had now staked a claim at the stool near the front counter. Ever busy with her chocolate milkshake, he walked up behind her. "Odango!" he put his hands on her shoulders. She seemed to be jerked out of her fantasy world and jumped up about a foot in the air. Her eyes started wildly darting around the room, trying to find the voice that disturbed her. She must not have thought to look on the seat beside her, because that's where he was now sitting. Once she looked, he plastered a cheezy grin on his face. "How ya doing?" "Just fine before you got here. Creep." she starting sucking softly on her straw again. "Aww. Not happy to see me? I'm sure happy to see you!" he cooed. "I'm touched. Really, I am. I like guys who act like total dorks to get my attention." she said dripping with sarcasim. "There are other guys who act like that, Odango?" he asked, inwardly jealous. Who would steal his patented technique?! "Well, no...HEY! Stop calling me that! My name is Tsukino Usagi!" she shouted. With that said, she sipped the last of her drink, and started walking toward the door. he thought. "Wait!" he cried, bounding off his stool and chasing after her. Motoki was left standing there wondering what had just happened. Seiya caught up to her on the sidewalk. She had her nose raised in the air, like she was too good for this. "Hey! I just wanted to ask you one thing!" he yelled again, getting pushed back by the mass amounts of people heading in the other direction. She turned back and he was once more confronted by those curious ocean eyes. "What?" she appeared to trust the man she had met moments before. "What school do you go to?" Seiya was still struggling to get to her. Finally, Usagi herself went and took his outreached hand, pulling him forward with her. She smiled. "Juuban Junior High." she said simply. "Thanks! Now I've gotta go!" he said running, his hair flapping in the wind. She looked at his disappearing form and called out after him at the last possible moment. "Why did you ask?" "You'll see! Until next time, Odango!" ************************************************************ he made a pointless mental note as his shoes continued to scratch against the pavement. He had new hope for his life now. Even though she didn't like him at the moment, he was sure her heart would warm to him. Eventually. It did last time, only she had met Mamoru before him and those two had a destiny together. But with that major obsticle out of the way, he could do whatever he needed to win her heart over. But he couldn't worry about that quite yet. With any luck, he could enroll in her classes in school. He always had a plan for everything. Slowing down, he turned to the person who just happened to be walking beside him. A raven haired girl in a private school uniform. his mind chanted in rememberance. "Excuse me," he began to ask, looking into her violet eyes. "Do you happen to know where Juuban Jr. High is?" She was practically melting at his feet. "Uh-huh." her mouth was hanging open. She composed herself and shook her head. Seiya was highly amused. "Just turn right, go three blocks straight and turn right again. Why do you need to know?" she queried, flipping her ebony hair back. he asked his mind. "Oh! I'm planning on going there." What he didn't know, was that Rei was cursing herself for going to an 'All Girls' school. "Okay then. Gambatte*!" she said walking away, a look of disappointment on her face. Seiya then headed off to the school with the with the instructions that she gave him. ************************************************************ The next morning it was quite a beautiful day. Birds chirping, children playing. Classic. Oh, and Usagi was running for her life as the tardy bells rang. Yup. Classic. Seiya was standing at the front of the class with the teacher introducing him to the students. Half of the girls already had hearts in their eyes. The guys were looking back and forth from him, to the girls, and then back to him again with a glare. But one seat was empty. And he was guessing that that's where Odango sat. No, wait, there were two seats empty. Right in a row. And that's where he guessed that he would be sitting. "Minna! This is Kou Seiya. Please make him feel welcome in this class and obliege him to anything he asks for." the teacher said. Suddenly, the door flew open. There was Usagi. A very tired Usagi, who was panting and leaning against the doorframe for support. A briefcase and pink bunny lunch bag clutched in her left hand. "Gomen nasai, Haruna-sensei! I slept in!" she explained as she plopped down in her hard wooden desk. The auburn haired woman simply turned to the chalkboard and starting writing out that day's lesson. "You know the drill. Detention after school." She turned towards the astounded Seiya, who was contently staring at Usagi with his mouth hanging open at her less than graceful entrance. "Seiya-kun, you can take the desk behind Tsukino-san." If given the opportunity, he probably would've danced a little jig right there, but he wasn't. He quietly nodded his head and hid a grin as he walked by her. This was going to be interesting. Usagi didn't seem to notice him as he sauntered slowly on his way. She was too busy getting some extra shut-eye. This made him get annoyed. Moving his hand downwards, he grabbed a long blonde pigtail and starting pulling it gently. "Odango Atama.." he whispered into her ear. That was when he had misjudged the sleepy schoolgirl. She had been more awake then she let on. Gingerly, her body turned to the person sitting behind her. That was when she became fully awake and aware of what was happening. "You?! What are you doing here?!" she whispered as loud as she could. "Learning. Just like you're supposed to be." he remarked. "Hey! Stop talking!" Haruna-sensei yelled as she heard speaking. "Hai." both chimmed in as Usagi rotated to face the front once more. This didn't want to make him stop his conversation, though. "Oi, Odango, would you like to give me a tour of the school?" he suggested as she twisted around. "Who *are* you, anyways?" she spat with angered confusion. he thought. He motioned towards his student ID. 'Seiya 2-1' it read in katakana and large print numbers. "Oh! Well then, since you're THE Seiya," she said tauntingly, "..No." "You're unkind!" he whimpered putting his head in his hands. The teacher actually turned away from the board this time. White chalk in hand, she scolded the two. "What did I tell you two before?! Pay attention!" "Would you leave me alone if I do?" her eyes narrowed at Seiya, ignoring Haruna-sensei's command. His face showed a happy reply. "Of course!" "Fine then." she broke the eye contact and took out her bento. "Now leave me alone. I'm hungry." He sighed as a sweatdrop appeared on his dark head. ******************************************************** "Naru-chan!" Usagi walked with her best friend to a nice shaded patch of grass in the school grounds. "What do you think about that new kid?" The red head shrugged her shoulders. "I think he's a normal guy. Why?" "He hasn't been bugging you or anyone else?" she furrowed her brow. "No. What's up with you today? You're really edgey." she unwrapped her lunch from the green cloth it was contained in and started eating. "I met him yesterday. Before he came here. I think he's stalking me!" she exclaimed with worry. Naru, who was currently putting a piece of sushi in her mouth, just laughed. "Stalking you? He probably was just hanging around you because you were familure to him!" The blonde girl just exhailed loudly. She said something softly, like she was preoccupied. "Maybe you're right. I'm just worrying too much." "Either way, he's still cute." Naru shook her chopsticks at her friend. "Whatever." Usagi just leaned back against a tree and looked up at the sky with an uneasy mind. And that's the way he saw her. ********************************************************* Seiya was surrounded by cheering girls. Each one more loud and screechy then the next. He didn't remember it being THIS bad last time! Between shouts of, "Seiya-san! Do you have a girlfriend?" and "Seiya-san! Do you wanna eat lunch with me?!", he stole glances at the ditzy Moon Princess. Standing a few steps away, there was a group of boys that were talking with a hint of jealousy in their voices. "What's he got that we don't got?" "It's what he *doesn't* 'got'." another pointed out. He gestured to each one of them. "He doesn't have glasses, or short messy hair, or an overly high IQ.." "He's everything we're not." a boy with all 3 of the mentioned traits slumped over. One jumped up and followed Seiya's gaze. "He's staring at my Naru!" He stomped over to the crowd and pulled the distraught man out of the center. Trying to be intimidating, (although it didn't quite work because he was a few feet shorter than him) he shook his finger wildly. "Hey! I don't care how popular you are! Naru's mine! Got that? MINE!" Seiya looked dumbfounded. "Who's Naru?" This only made the asulter more mad. "That girl with red hair that you're staring at! She's mine!" The dark-haired man chuckled. "You can have her. I'm staring at the blonde!" "Oh! So she's not good enough for you?!" he raised his tiny, non-frightening fists. "You wanna go?" "Umino! Stop it!" Naru came running and turned to face the man that was trying to defend her honor. "We're not even going out!" Usagi came trailing after her best friend, but slowly. She knew that Seiya was near them. It was only a matter of time before he noticed she was nearing... 3, 2, 1.. "Odango!" his face lit up. He took one last look at Umino and his little group before running off to his precious love. ***************************************************************** Japanese Mystery words! ^^; ...and other clues Ano = Excuse me Motoki-nii-san = Big brother Motoki (sorta) Gambatte = Good Luck Also, it is mentioned in the manga and anime that Usagi is in class 2-1.
