offers a helping hand with early communication between you
and you child!
Children crave to express
their thoughts and desires long before they are able to
speak. By using sign language you are giving your child
a head start in life. Signing with your baby or toddler
is fun and has numerous benefits.
Signing
with you baby or toddler is a fun way to communicate with
your child at a young age. Babies can learn to sign as early
as 8 - 10 months because children develop the ability to
control the muscles in the hands and arms sooner than the
small muscles in the mouth and throat. This makes American
Sign Language the prefect tool to communicate for parents
and children alike.
In
Winnipeg, MiteY Signs is a fun way to enjoy your baby's
first year while giving your baby a gift that will last.
MiteY Signs is based on Joseph Garcia’s SIGN
with your BABY™ program. You will learn common
nouns and verbs borrowed from ASL to communicate with your
baby. Games, songs, and stories will be used to reinforce
signs and concepts in a fun and interactive atmosphere and
when available, there will be a guest speaker whose first
language is ASL.
This class is
for cildren with average or normal hearing if your child is deaf or hard of
hearing you should learn the complete language of American Sign Language from
a Deaf individual whose first language is ASL.
