MiteY Signs Classes

Description:

These classes are 6 weeks long with an one hour class each week for a total of 6 instructional hours. These classes focus on early communication, language development, and having fun. You will learn many signs covering the topics of: assistance and suppport, family, emotions, food, clothes, toys, transportation, animals, numbers, and colours. It is entirely up to you to decide how many of these signs you would like to use with your family. You and your baby will enjoy the benefits of signing whether you use 10 or all 200 signs. Mite Y Signs is a fun opportunity to meet with other parents who are also learning to sign with their babies and share success stories. Each week we learn fun rhymes using ASL that help with language development and are enjoyable for babies of all ages. As well we sing songs, sign books and play games using the signs and concepts of the weekly topic. Included in your registration fee is an instructional booklet that includes a dictionary of the core signs that you learn. You are given a three day free trial opportunity to use an interactive signing software. You will have the opportunity to learn about different resources that are available to you and purchase Sign2Me materials. At the end of the six week program you recieve a certificate of completion for your participation. Parents are encouraged to bring their babies with them.

Classes are available for groups of five families.
