CLARK GENEALOGY

MARGARET CLARK died April 16, 1890
This is a picture of my great grandmother, Margaret Clark, and I have been wanting to learn more information about her. According to our information she was born in 1824 in Holland, and she and her family moved from Holland and settled in the southwest part of Upper Canada (Ontario). We know her son, Charles Edgar was born October 26, 1850 at St. Catharines, Lincoln County. Charles' father had been born and raised in the USA, then later moved to Upper Canada (Ontario). He went to the USA to find winter work, and his family didn't go with him. As he was never heard of again, they presumed he had met with an accident and was dead.
Margaret married a widower, William Clark who had two sons Henry and Benjamin by his first marriage. Here ia a picture of Henry. I wonder if anyone can recognize him as their ancestor.
Our guess is that Margaret & William were married in 1852, as their first child, Elizabeth was born in 1853 in Norfolk county. In October 1853, William had bought 100 acres of land, the E 1/2 Lot 1 in the 4th concession in Houghton Township, Norfolk County from John Clayton. In the 1861 census, William and Margaret were listed as living in Canada West and they had four children, Charles, Elizabeth, Alvaretta and Gelard. Their religion was listed as Methodist.
William made out a will November 11, 1859, stating that he was in ill health, but of sound mind, and naming his wife, Margaret and their friend Calvin Gates Senior as Executrix and Executor of his will. To his two sons Henry and Benjamin, in consideration of what they had already received, he bequeathed them, the sum of five shillings each. The rest of his estate was left to Margaret.
According to the land record, I received from the land registry office in Simcoe Ontario, they sold 25 acres to Joseph Conner in 1866. William died May 28, 1869.
In the 1871 census, Margaret, Charles, Elizabeth, Alvaretta and Gelard are listed as Dutch and their religion as Baptist.
When Charles' wife Elizabeth Hannah (Burger) Clark died in Somerset Manitoba May 8, 1880 (at 36 years of age), Charles took his two children, Elizabeth, age 5, and John, age 2, to live with his mother, Margaret on the farm in Norfolk county. Sophronia, age 4, was left with a family in St. Leon, and Elnor May, a baby, was left with Charles' sister and her husband Elizabeth and Andrew Burdick who lived on a homestead N.W. 1/4 of 19-5-9 near Somerset. Elizabeth Clark died June 6, 1883, at age 8, while living with her grandmother Margaret, and a grandson of Margaret's, Charles Deloss West died Feb. 4, 1883 in Norfolk County at age 3. Margaret's granddaughter and Charles' youngest daughter Elnor May Clark died in March 1882, and Elizabeth Burdick, Charles' sister who cared for Elnor May died in November 1882 at Alymer, Ontario at age 31.
We were told that Margaret visited with Charles and his second wife Mary Ann (Foster) Clark in Somerset. Did she bring John to live with his father and stepmother? Margaret died April 16, 1890 and on June 18, 1890 her farm of 75 acres was sold to Walter O'Neal for the sum of six hundred dollars.
I am looking for information on Margaret's Clark's parents and siblings, and her first husband.
