The Tomb

This is a tomb or mausoleum equally suitable for use in an urban or non-urban setting. It is intended to be the simple tomb of the Glorious Leader's father. It is one of the sites he visits regularly, making for a security nightmare.

It was inspired by a small papier-mache box found in a craft store. I added a peaked roof to the top of the box, cardboard detailing, and cut a door in the front.

It was then placed in a foam core-walled compound on a beaver board base. The walls were capped with file-folder cardboard, and the path lined with cat litter. There are weeds here and there against the wall.

I intend to make gates for the piece, but have not done so in 5 or so years. I suspect I never will get around to it.

It has been used as a gang headquarters and a squatter's camp. The walls give good cover and you can pile stuff to make a firing step.

The Statue

The Great Man is also immortalized by a statue in the park.

It is a wargames miniature suitably modified (no head, bullet holes) glued to a GW base atop a wedding cake pillar, based on foam core steps.

I added fruit & fruit smears, plus gang graffiti. Dirt, & litter. Imposing as it once was, the statue has inspired little respect for the poor fellow.

I'm thinking of making a fountain as a companion piece, but I am unsure of whether to have it a dry, non-functional piece (suitable as a firing position) or to make it more decorative, with clear plastic water, and sprays made from fishing line. (still a good firing position)
