We are located in the south end of Winnipeg in the Fort Richmond area, not far from the University of Manitoba. We are not far from Pembina Highway which is a major city route, and we are just inside the Perimeter Highway (TransCanada) which marks the city limits.
Fort Richmond is a quiet well-established residential neighborhood, having schools, parks, shopping, other churches, and a community centre. The largest park in the area is Kings Park, located nearby, and which will soon be home to the Carol Shields Memorial Labyrinth. Directly across the street from Good Shepherd is the Fort Richmond Community Centre.
The city areas that we serve include Fort Richmond, Richmond West, Waverley Heights, Lindenwoods, and St Norbert. In addition, some of our parish family drive into the city from from small towns outside the city limits.
From Pembina Highway take either Dalhousie Drive, or Killarney Avenue to the East.
- Dalhousie will curve and come to lights at the intersection with Silverstone.
- Killarney will come to a 4-way stop where you turn left onto Dalhousie, then go to the lights.
At the intersection of Dalhousie & Silverstone, turn east and travel approx 8 blocks.
The Church is on the north side of the street. The Community Centre is directly across the street.
Parking is available on the street, but take note of the day & time restrictions which are posted.
A small parking lot is also available behind the church.
