Our Phyllis

I was born here on this farm together with my twin-sister Angeline.
I worked in Winnipeg from 1960 on for the Provincial Government in the accounting branch of the Social Service Department. I met Fred in 1960, shortly after my arrival in Winnipeg and we got married in June of 1962. Together we worked towards a living on the home farm. We built our dream home in 1967 and officially moved in on November 1, 1967. I continued to work until fall of 1971, the time I took on the official role of farm wife and house wife.
I have a deep love for any kind of animal and will do everything to help if one is in trouble. Besides my garden and yard, I have my lovely home to take care of, collect antiques, small toys, jewelry (my favorite subject), as well china and crystal.
My favorite hobby is reading and studying about vitamins and herbs, their relation to personal well-being and prevention. I subscribe to the Prevention Magazine for many years now and have a vast collection of those and other magazines and books. Call me somewhat of an expert in that field. In the cold Manitoba winter months I knit Afghans, sweaters and bedspreads to keep busy, keep a multitude of flowers in the house and generally love talking for hours on end to my many friends.

Here are some of my favorite links.
