Our Farm is situated in one of the largest Canadian Municipalities, the RM. of St. Andrews.
Our location is only about a mile away from the largest Inland Lake, Lake Winnipeg. Due to the closeness to the Lake, our Temperature is somewhat warmer in the fall and slightly cooler in the Spring. The soil is mostly of clay type, capable of producing heavy and large Crops due to it's moisture retention capability.
We are located on the south end of the "Interlake Region", referring to the location between Lake Winnipeg and Lake Manitoba. The nearest "City" is the Town of Selkirk, which is located about 20 Miles South of our Farm. Schools are nearby for Juniors and the High school is about 15 Miles away and all Students are " Bused " to School.
3 Hospitals are within 15 Miles and all are associated with Clinics.
Selkirk has everything one needs for shopping, large Malls and Superstores.
The City of Winnipeg, our largest City in Manitoba is about 40 Miles away and another 60 Miles take you to the USA Border for some excitement and travel. Just one must remember, distance is of no importance in Canada, you get used to it. There are over 3000 Miles ( 5000 km ) from Coast to Coast and almost 2000 Miles to the Northern Territories.
