Randy Bohemier
Randy started flying in 2005 with a small beginner electric aircraft by Parkzone a J3 Cub. It only had three channels a rudder, elevator and speed control. Although this plane is very easy to fly it was still a handful for someone like Randy who had never flown before. This small electric aircraft can be purchased for around $200.00 complete with radio ready to fly. For Randy it was a great way to get into this hobby. He didn’t know if this hobby was for him or not so getting in at an entry level at low cost was important. His wife actually bought him his first airplane for Christmas. He has now graduated to more powerful and aerobatic aircraft, but has remained dedicated to flying electric models. He just purchased his fifth aircraft; it’s an Ultra Stick with a brushless out runner 450.

The guys at the club have been really instrumental in helping Randy get his wings. Most days you can find Randy out at the airfield practicing there's always something new to learn. Members are more than willing to help new pilots learn to fly.
