January | JanuaryOfficially a public holiday, the new year is welcomed to the islands with gala balls and parties at hotels and clubs as well as Church services throughout the parishes.
This annual tournament attracts fishermen from around the world, with cash prizes for first,second and third place boats, as well as any records broken. This tournament will be a tag and release one, with the rules for the tournament being the latest edition of the 'International Angling Rules-Rules for fishing in fresh and salt water' (IGFA).
The 11th Annual Grenada Sailing Festival promises plenty of action with more than four (4) races, regattas, an all day craft market and a Cultural Street Festival. FeburaryOne of the highlights of this public holiday in Grenada, Carriacou and Petit Martinique, is a military parade at Tanteen. Beach parties are also prominent on the islands.
Carnival on the sister island is held at the pre-lenten time. Music fills the air during the two days of the Parade of the Bands. Prior to this there is a kiddies carnival, and competitions to select the King and Queen of the Mas Bands, and the Calypso Monarch. MarchCelebrations take place in Sauteurs, St. Patrick's. Exhibits include local arts and craft, agricultural produce, food.

Participants indulge in two days of activities that test their endurance in swimming, cycling and running.
Maroons are an age-old celebration in Carriacou, expressing appreciation for a productive harvest and petitioning success for the on-coming planting season. MAYWorkers celebrate with parades and parties organized in their honour.
The 4rd Annual Grenada Drum Festival is carded to take place in the historic village of Tivoli. A traditional Night, with TELINGO - the old masters' chants, dances and drum techniques. Drum workshops - Traditional village foods and customs.
Caribbean athletes assemble in Grenada to participate in two days of track and field competition. This is the opportunity to see the best athletes in the region.
JUNE
Gouyave in the parish of St. John, is the most popular town for this celebration. Church services and the blessing of fishermen’s boats and nets, followed by boat races and late afternoon street festivals.

A weekend of Yacht & Work Boats Races, enchanced by sporting events, cultural shows, artistic performances, big drum dances and street parties.
in St. George's begins around 10:00 pm. The night bands parade through the streets of the capital city together with steelbands and supporters.
Street theatre with traditional or Ole mas. Witness the original Jab Jab, Vekou, Wild Indian, Apache and various forms of Perrotte Grenada mas, music and chants.
In the evening jump-up through the streets of St. George’s to the sounds of steelband and local DJs as everyone wnjoys a Las Lap.
