Please note that for most customers the annual tuning season commences July 1st and ends June 30th. This seems to be a sensible pattern for the majority of piano owners since this parallels the regular piano lesson and school season. Please advise if you require your billing on a fiscal year basis.
Pianos requiring a multipass tuning in order to raise or lower and stabilize at standard pitch (A=440) subject to extra charge. Especially if your piano has not been tuned in the past season and has had no measures to compensate for winter dryness, you can expect a pitch correction fee to apply.
Repairs extra. Taxes (GST and PST) apply.
Flat rates can be arranged for scheduled multiple/repeat tunings tunings per season.
You can reduce the stress to your instrument and the deterioration it causes by taking steps to minimize the effects of seasonal humidity changes. This will also help reduce the costs of maintenance and tuning. One of the most helpful methods is with the installation of a Piano Life-SaverTM system that is consistently maintained. In the case of grand pianos, especially those in institutional settings, this should be combined with a custom-made cover that has specific properties to enhance tuning stability, is translucent enough to view a climate system monitor light panel through the cover, and most of all is lightweight and convenient to use.
