Listed below are two options for a plaque for the Kronsfeld Cemetery. The goal is to gather sufficient information and funds, and in the fall of 2007 (or sooner if possible) to erect a plaque at Kronsfeld cemetery site.
Plaque option 1 - dimensions 20 inches x 24 inches. 2006 quote prices are given, but as we all know, prices rise, and by 2007 there will be an increase (estimated at 20%). Quotes include taxes.

Plaque option 2 - The dimensions are 24 inches x 38 inches. This plaque would have more information besides name and year of birth and death, it would also have the actual dates (month and year) and for a married woman it would also state her maiden name (eg nee Krahn). The cost of this plaque would be $2400 +13% taxes = $2712 + $40 shipping = $2752 (2006 prices) Increases expected for 2007 could make the plaque cost $3302. Adding the cost of mounting, corner pads and corner poles makes the cost $3577.

Note - if more names are found to be on the plaque, the cost would rise accordingly. The goal is by mid-summer of 2007 for the names on the plaque to be finalized, so completion of the plaque could be done by fall of 2007. Of the people confirmed buried there, we can find direct descendants for about half of them. The direct descendants are being contacted to help raise funds for the cost of the plaque and erection of the plaque.
To find the names of people buried at Kronsfeld, the following research has been done:
A separate bank account has been formed to collect funds for the plaque. The name of the account is Kronsfeld Cemetery. The account is at the Heartland Credit Union in Winkler. The account is a Community Builder account which is a non-interest bearing account designed for non-profit organizations. If making a donation by cheque, please make payable to Kronsfeld Cemetery.

If it should happen that excess money comes in, please indicate if you would wish a partial refund, or have the extra funds be donated to MCC, or other charitable organizations. If the whole plan falls through, your money would be returned. If you do wish to donate, the sooner the funds come in the sooner we will know if the project can continue.
