The purpose of the Kronsfeld cemetery project was to erect a plaque recording the names of those buried in unmarked graves of the abandoned Kronsfeld cemetery. The cemetery is at the former village site of Kronsfeld near Haskett, Manitoba, CANADA

We were not able to locate burial records that could identify individual graves; instead we resorted to municipal, family and other records to compile a listing. The few gravestones originally at the Kronsfeld site at some point had been relocated to another cemetery. Out of this came realization of the need to erect a plaque to record the names - hence the project was born.

The legal land description of the former Kronsfeld village site is NW 7-1-4 W. It is located near the village of Haskett, which is near the Canada-U.S. border southõof Winkler, Manitoba.
