We purchased this car in April of 2005 and picked it up in May. It was part of an estate and is now in line for a restoration. Only problem is that I'm not sure who is at the beginning of the line! Enjoy the photos.
Is this a neat car or what?
The previous owner's daughter wanted to get this shot. They were very friendly and easy to deal with.
The interior is in decent shape although mice have attacked the back seat somewhat.
The artillery wheel was an option above the base spoke wheel. A steel disc wheel was also offered in 1929.
A nice McLaughlin touch was the hub cap.
Here's a shot of the dash and gauges.
Driver's side of the big inline 6.
Passenger's side of the big inline 6.
Marvel carburetor.
Suzanne and Teresa checking out the car while I am snapping shots. The grill emblem is missing...one thing on my list to find.
I don't have a very good shot of the rear of the car - I was up against a fence. Anyway, here is the trunk. The rear bumper is cockeyed as the supports are broken - it must have been bumped from behind or backed into something.
The manufacturer's sticker on the inside of the trunk lid.
It rained. It hailed. However the three amigos were able to get the car loaded and to its new home. From left - John, Bryne (he took this photo with the timer on the camera - thanks), and Derek.
Car has joined the '52 Roadmaster and '61 Invicta in storage.
