As part of our commitment to community healing, we offer continuing education programs, facilitate community building retreats and offer a variety of workshops that reflect Aboriginal culture. In addition to our staff resources, we also bring in resource people to share leadership at the Centre.
In the sharing circle, we initiate discussions exploring spirituality, community, culture and teachings carried by Aboriginal elders. This may involve storytelling, crafts, traditional ceremonies and worship.
We have hosted many groups including global guests, educators, social service agencies, business management groups, students, church retreats, interfaith workshops, elders and children.
We have had Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal guests from many countries: Australia, Guatemala, India, Japan, New Zealand, Nicaragua, and Norway. These visits have often been the focus of intense cross cultural learning and interfaith dialogue. Our students, staff and Board members have participated in World Council of Churches events (in the Philippines, Cyprus and Geneva) or in ecumenical consultations (France and Japan).
We welcome you.
