David (Dave) Lauder is a self-taught landscape and nature photographer. His passion for photography is rooted his love of the Canadian Shield and Manitoba prairies. In addition to the power of the landscape, he is also attracted to the abstracts and textures revealed when the camera lens is brought in close . First light, when the day is new, the air is pure and the light is magic is David's favourite time to photograph.
David combines his interest in photography with bicycle touring, off-road cycling and backcountry canoeing.
