|In the racer to the right, the "BASIC" design was modified
by filling in the sides and the cowling.
The elaborate paint job adds to the sleek
appearance of this "Mod" racer.
|The design at right was included to illustrate that
it is possible to build a streamlined racer without
having to form curved surfaces.
Curved surfaces can be very
difficult to shape in wood.
|The low Sport model does not resemble the "BASIC" design. DERBY*GOKIT®allows individuality of design.|
|Kids of all ages can enjoy building a racer. The 3 steps
are shown below to give an idea of the complexity and
amount of time, skill and work that can go into a racer.
|If you look closely, you can see the "BASIC"
racer design of the wooden portion.
The wire screen is stapled to the wood to
provide a base to hold the fibre glass.
