Welcome to the Dauphin Medical Clinic Home Page. There are positions available in this busy rural practice in the town of Dauphin. Presently, Dauphin Clinic has 13 family practitioners, one surgeon and an internist. The clinic is also the site of a Rural Family Practice Program run by the University of Manitoba. This program is under expansion over the next year. The clinic also has numerous subspecialty visitations. There is a modern 90-bed hospital adjacent to the clinic, the Dauphin Regional Health Center that serves all of the Parkland region. Attatched to the clinic is a full-feature pharmacy, the Dauphin Clinic Pharmacy.

 At present, we are looking for associates with the opportunity for partnership in 6 months. Obstetrics or anesthesia is an asset but is not essential.

The Town of Dauphin

The town of Dauphin is located 300 km northwest of Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada, nestled between the Duck Mountain Provincial Park and Riding Mountain National Park. The town of Dauphin offers a wide variety of of recreational activities, winter and summer.

 The Town of Dauphin boasts a wide array of recreational facilities. The town is just completing the finishing touches on the new Recreation Complex that contains a curling rink, banquet facilities and the provinces first wave pool including a junior-olympic lap pool.

The Parkland region, of which Dauphin is the focal point, boasts several golf courses all located within a 50 mile radius of Dauphin including The Dauphin Golf Club and beautiful Clear Lake Golf Course, once featured in Golf Digest magazine, in Riding Mountain National Park.

 The region boasts a host of winter activities to choose from. There are kilometers and kilometers of cross country ski trails within the town of Dauphin itself and 20 kilometers south in Riding Mountain National Park. There is also downhill skiing available in nearby McCreary Manitoba. Hockey is a dominant sport in winter and the town boasts 2 indoor skating rinks as well as numerous outdoor rinks.

Culturally, the town is alive with activity and a proud multicultural heritage. Dauphin is the site of Canada's National Ukranian Festival held each July at Selo Ukraina, a picturesque festival site and amphitheatre nestled on the north side of Riding Mountain National Park. Selo Ukraina is also the site of Dauphin's Countryfest, a huge and wildly popular country music festival that in past years has hosted such stars as Vince Gill, Michelle Wright and Marty Stuart.This year's Countryfest sold out all ten thousand tickets in a mere 30 hours!!

 There is plenty of affordable, quality housing available in Dauphin, including many executive homes. The town of Dauphin is also virtually crime free making Dauphin an excellent place to raise children. The area also boasts an excellent school division with the opportunity to have children taught in an English, French or Ukrainian bilingual school.
