ViCLAS is a central repository system used to identify and track serial violent crime/criminals. This system encourages communication between investigators to assist the apprehension of dangerous predatory criminals and to help solve serious serial criminal acts.
Currently across Canada there is a ViCLAS centre in every province with the exception of Prince Edward Island which is served by a centre in Nova Scotia.
