Civilian Member Position/ViCLAS Liason Coordinator

Responsibilities: Under the direct supervision of the NCO I/c Provincial ViCLAS Centre Manitoba, you will manage and oversee the development, implementation, maintenance and control of the ViCLAS Partnership Program. Control, maintain, develope and implement Manitoba data entry protocols, that ensure data entered into ViCLAS is current and accurate. Makes recommendations to agencies including the RCMP. Manage and evaluate volunteer program.

Education: Two years post secondary education with a primary field of study in the psychology and or criminology area.

Experience: Previous experience within the criminal justice system. Establishing and maintaining inter-agency partnerships within the criminal justice system. Proven organizational skills, interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.

Special Requirements: Demonstrated computer skills in Windows environment. Must possess a valid class 4.0 drivers license.

Salary: Depending upon experience. Range $39,618.00 to $42,650.00

Temporary Civilian Employee/Informatics

 

Responsibilities: Reporting to the NCO I/c Informatics Operational Support "D" Division, you will make recommendations and work on developing: additions or changes to existing systems, computer configurations and processing capacities required to accomplish systems automation, applications software and techniques required to accomplish tasks.

Education: Successful completion of a 2 year diploma or certificate in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Management or another specialty relevant to the position from a recognized university, college or institution or eligibility for certification by a Canadian certifying body. OR: Several years of full time experience as a systems analyst; programmer analyst; communication network specialist: and/or, database analyst in a computer system or communication networking environment.

Experience: Several years of analysis and programming experience or the equivalent. A working knowledge in at least two or more of the following areas, one of which is NOVELL related: Novell administrator duties, applications development within a shared NOVELL LAN Client/Server environment, within a stand alone PC Windows environment, within a main frame environment. Knowledge in the following areas is preferred: DOS, Windows 95, Windows NT, ManageWise, NWAdmin, GroupWise, SaberLAN, Perfect Office Suite, Formflow, Visual FoxPro, Visual Basic, Q & A for Dos Q & A for Windows.

Salary: This is a term position of forty hours a week for a period of less than six months. Depending upon experience. Range $21.60-$26.10 per hour.
