Airdriend Farm, the home of my Gillies ancestors from at least 1774 until 1850. Daniel Gillies and Grisal Crawford had eight of their nine children here. My g.g.g.grandfather, their son Thomas Gillies, left the farm and married Johanna Campbell in Galston, Ayrshire in 1806. His brother, Mathew, continued on the farm until about 1850.
