Patrons of the Daly House Museum are often surprised to find that their visit to the home of Mayor Daly also gives them the opportunity to view the magnificence of Sigrid Green’s Dollhouse.
The house originated in Austria in 1885 and has been passed down through many generations.
Various items have been added to it for over 112 years.
The result has been a delightful reproduction of an authentic 19th Century Mansion.
Sigrid Green was the woman who worked the most on the dollhouse.
She made the structure what it is today.
She added many of the house’s details, such as the dried minnows in a frying pan, seashells that double as soap dishes and hand laid wood flooring.
Sigrid also added a personal touch to the house by including numerous pictures of family members and friend in many of the rooms.
