Mark Dobres, of Gopher The Music Mobile DJ Services, is amazing. We met with him a few months prior to our Halloween Wedding Social and he was there for us every step of the way. If we had questions, he was there. Concerns, he was there. If we needed suggestions about nearly any aspect of the social, he was there for us. Kind, caring, accomodating, funny, helpful, and very knowledgable about the industry he's in and the equipment he uses. His experience speaks for itself.

Mark and I spoke, at length, about the DJ industry. In fact the weekend following or social my fiancee and myself attended another Halloween social (this one was a fundraiser for a roller derby league) and the DJ at that particular social was LITERALLY doing everything Mark had told me that many DJ's do WRONG. For example; one song didn't flow into the other.. he lost the audience on a few occasions with poor song choices.. his speakers were on the floor (hence no sound up where it counts.. at ear level).. Every song was a remix full of ear pounding bass and that was IT. No good song choice at all... Light show? If you call a fifty dollar light ball bought from Spencer's a light show.

Mark gave us an amazing light show.. floor to ceiling was lit up with lasers! (note that we ordered the SMALL light show package.. and my mind was blown. I can only imagine what his LARGE light show package consists of!) Mark's song choice was great as, quite literally, one song flowed right into the next smoothly and it sounded GREAT! He would take the time, throughout the evening, to come to myself or my finacee and just check in with us: Asking if we enjoyed the music/experience, asking if there was anything we needed or would like, etc.. He was, on top of everything else, very attentive. He constantly interacted with us, rather than just hide behind equipment (something I've seen many DJ's do before). When it came time to hand out our silent auction prizes, Mark was there and took over (with our consent) to be not just a DJ.. but a host. He was funny and engaging on the mic; true skills indeed! My fiancee and myself received NOTHING but very positive comments about Mark all night long. We would recommend him to DJ any event!! Big or small! Come one, come all, and Gopher the music!

Dear Gopher the Music;

Wow, that was an amazing performance at out social.  The music kept the crowd on their feet all night.  The special effects you brought really complemented the whole vibe of the evening.  We especially appreciate the MC work you did for us; it was above and beyond the work of a regular DJ.  It was nice to see that you put the effort forth with that wicked star wars costume. 

 For us, it took a lot of searching to find the right DJ to meet the requirements we had in mind.  I’m just glad we won’t have to do that again because in our eyes there’s only one company we’re going to deal with: Gopher the Music!
