FIVE-DAY
CHURCHILL BIRDING TOUR

DAY 2

Today, we will visit the northern edge of the boreal forest. The varied habitat offers a good variety of birds and especially good opportunities to find vagrant species which are not normally found here. We will take a lunch with us so that we can continue to explore for such things as Merlins, Short-billed Dowitchers, Lesser Yellowlegs and Harris' Sparrow.

DAY 3

We will tour the coast road this morning as far as the rocket launching base and later head down to the Landing Lake area. Launch road offers several tundra nesting species such as Golden Plover, Whimbrel, Hudsonian Godwit, Smith's Longspur and Longtail Duck. At Landing Lake, we will see tree-nesting Bonaparte's Gulls and a number of treeline species.
