History
Lightweight hard rockers that hit it big for a short time in 1988, but since
then success has been limited to their home country. Catchy melodies and pretty boy
good looks should have been the recipe for huge stardom, but it never really happened.
Formed in 1983 by Torsten Flanke (vocals/guitar), Terje Storle
(bass) and Erlend Antonsen (drums). A demo was recorded in 1983, but it took a
couple years of constant touring for a full length album to be released. After the
release of the debut, Antonsen was replaced by Steiner Krokstad and the
group embarked on a 250 day tour.
The selft titled 1988 album would see the band at the peak of their success.
It sold fairly well, being pushed by the single Love Cries which reached #46 on
the Billboard singles chart. Certain songs from Stripped were produced
by Ron Nevison, but in the U.S.A. the band was already forgotten. They toured
Europe with bands such as Mr. Big.
In mid 1993, Krokstad was replaced by former TNT drummer
Morten Skogstad. For the bands ten year anniversary, Norwegian TV aired a
30 minute documentary on the band. A little known band, but a treat to listen too.
