The MTRA Board of Directors will look quite different following the AGM in October. Returning are Nicole Dunn, Colleen Isfeld, and Patti Phillips. Stepping down will be Clayton Carriere, Cathy Flower, and Kyla Koskie. Clayton in leaving his treasurer's position after almost three years and we're happy to note that there are still sufficient funds in the account. Cathy and Kyla both sat on the board for one year terms and although other demands do not allow them to carry on in a board member capacity, they will continue to support MTRA. Many thanks to these three for their ideas and energy. We have yet to fill these board positions, so if you are interested in sitting on the board or have some energy to take on any number of tasks, please contact us. Some of the initiatives we would like to pursue are:
Website development
Resource library development
MTRA sponsored workshop development for Rec. Connections Conference (Feb. 21-23)
Newsletter contributors
Facilitation of monthly TR discussion groups
Board secretary/membership position
Board meetings take place once per month, generally one evening during the last week of the month. Those interested in any of the above listed initiatives need not necessarily take these on as board members. The board will support members to pursue these initiatives in any way possible.
