100% Success for Black Bear Hunting!

The first bear to hang, first night! 

Black bear, beautiful coat.  Shot with a big ass gun.

This big black bear decided to swim across the river, right towards our camp.

He climbs on shore less than 75 yards from camp.

He was seen two days in a row in his perfect perch, watching some fishermen in a boat on the opposite side of the river.

This is the 2nd bear of the bear hunt, taken on the second night, with a muzzleloader, from a ground blind.  At the time he had 1 bear in front and a second one coming up from behind!

The next pics are of my own when I sat in a stand after dropping my last 2 hunters off for their evening hunt.

This is what is referred to as beer can crap.  A sign of a big black bear!

Then 1/2 hour later this guy walks in. 

Shortly afterwards, this guy joins in.

Got some video of these 2 guys in a little scrap over the barrel.  After about 1/2 hour of watching these 2, the bears and I hear a stick snap farther back in the woods.  It got the attention of the 2 at the bait.  All of a sudden they exit stage right, running for their lives.

This big one walks in huffing and puffing, with a large sow just off in the distance. 

This guy is still roaming the River Country!

The third bear to go down, was the brown bear that I saw the night before.  He was taken with a single arrow and drops 20 yards down on the trail to the boat.  An excellent shot, beautiful bear!

The last bear of the 2006 spring hunt turns out to be the biggest of the bunch.  Thick black coat with a white v neck, gorgeous bear shot on very last night with a muzzle loader.

Saw a giant the night before, but that one will be in the fall hunt picture collection!
