Brandon Flying ClubI am now retired from the Brandon Flying Club Board. Below and in the indexes are musings I had while on the Executive. In 2006, I am grateful to be elected again as President of our local flying Club. After serving as a Director with fellow team members President Larrie Elliot, Evan Elliot, Carlyle Jorgensen, Francois Carrard, Ryan Jeffries and Trevor Dennis, I welcome new members Bruce and Sean. I commit to our members and partners that our team effort will provide hard working and dedicated leadership for the Club in 2006-2007. Upcoming projects include certification of a new simulator--not seen since WWII, new lease agreements with the City of Brandon, continued ground service for Westjet flights, the development of a new fuel system (with the possibility of a cardlock system) and improvements in our hangar and building plant. On behalf of the new Executive, we look forward to meeting and serving you! ______________________________________ In 2004, I was fortunate to be elected President of our local flying Club. After meeting dozens of aviators, aircraft mechanics, support crew, aviation historians, Air Cadets, Military crews and enthusiasts of flight, I am very proud and honoured to serve and work with a tremendous Executive of Mr. Don Gordon, Mr. Don Randall, Mr. Larry Elliot, Mr. Dave Whetter, Mr. Carlyle Jorgensen and Mr. Erwin Warkentin. I follow a line of highly respected Presidents, including Mr. Wally Butler and Mr. Don Randall.
