Youth Advisory Committee (YAC)

(FR) Raelynn Suski, Megan Kryschuk, Brittany Guillas, Samantha Cluett, Jocelyn Young, Kayla Hanke

Members of the YAC are shown presenting $1,294 to Darla Bradley for the Neepawa Salvation Army Christmas Cheer Fund. The YAC raised this money through a raffle. Prize winners were Bob Durston - digital camera, Dean Tremaine - portable DVD player, Allan Drysdale - gift basket.

The Youth Advisory Committee at Neepawa Collegiate is in its seventh year of operation.  It has given out $15,000 in 37 grants to local organizations. These young people investigate charitable organizations in Neepawa and area and then annually recommend $2,500  in grants.  Other organizations supported by the YAC have included the Roxy Theatre, Margaret Laurence Home, Budz 'n Bloom Daycare, Viscount Cultural Council and Neepawa Palliative Care. We are building a foundation for philanthropy in our community.
