Satellite viewing predictions for Winnipeg, Manitoba
The equipment I use for my observing is a Meade 8" 203SC scope on a LXD500B equatorial mount with dual axis motor drives. The motor drives allow me to track objects without having to manually make corrections to the scope for the earths rotation. The camera I am using is a Nikon FM. Although I have just started to get into astrophotography with my scope, the only pictures I have taken so far have been lunar photo's due to the fact that deep sky objects require long exposures requiring the shutter on the camera to be open from periods of 10 minutes to 2 hours. The mount that I am currently using cannot accurately track an object for me to do this due to the error in the guiding capabilities of it.
