vice club organization, whose membership includes both men and women. Our slogan is "Liberty, Intelligence, Our nation's safety". Our motto is "We Serve". Warren & District Lions Talent Night will be held in Warren Memorial Hall on Feb. 25, 2006. Get a group together, work on a couple of pieces, and enter the contest. Come on out for an evening of good fun for a good cause! Warren Curling Club will host a Junior Bonspiel on December 9-11, with 2 divisions: 20 Years & Under, and 13 Years & Under; CASH PRIZES! Entry Fee $80.00 per rink. Contact Andrew Hunt , 322-5021. Oak Park Lodge in Woodlands welcomes anyone interested to put your name on the very short waiting list for a bachelor suite. Call Carol Kapchinsky at 383-5976 for info. The Special Events Committee for South Interlake Recreation Centre is unfortunately, unable to offer the Cash Calendar for the 2006 season, due to timing and lottery issues. We hope you will support and enjoy the Bar Tender's Delight raffle in its place (see p. 4). We thank all community members for supporting our cash calendar as well as the many other events we hosted for the 2004-5 season. We realize that without community support the events would not be successful. The Warren and District Lions & Warren Herizon Lions Clubs will sponsor an Emergency First Aid Course, including Adult and Child CPR, on Nov. 26 at the Warren Firehall, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Registration fee is $75.00, to be prepaid by Nov. 12. Contact Dayna Grenkow at 322-5093 or Irene Tully at 375-6522. A reader advises that the Health Sciences Centre Emergency ward gives out hand-knitted hats and mitts to the homeless. She has knit several pairs of mitts and made a dozen or so hats from leftover polar fleece. If you know of anyone with scraps of polar fleece, the hats are very simple three piece ones; if you'd like to make some or donate the fabric, contact Cathy at 322-5450. The homeless will be a bit warmer because you care. The Red Hat Society is a women's movement changing the perception of aging women around the world, believing that having fun and enjoying each other's company is what really matters as members age. Who can be a Red Hatter? You must be a woman of 50 or over and you must attend functions in full regalia of red hat & purple outfit. What kinds of events do chapters usually have? Any activity you wish. Lunches and tea parties are popular. Some chapters like to go to the movies or to (from p. 4) a play, in full regalia. Groups have sleepovers, swim parties, spa days….
