Binscarth is located in Western Manitoba, on the Yellowhead Highway, in an agricultural area known as the Parkland. Our club has 30 members, and serves about 600 people in the village, and district. |
We help to support local sports, a campground park and large outdoor swimming pool,
skating rink and curling rink, golf course, museum, local cultural festivals, and international educational trips for our local youth.
We assist people from the region with medical expenses not otherwise covered.
We serve an annual supper for the local seniors. We serve a pancake breakfast on Canada day,
and enter a float into the parade, to mention just a few of our local activities.
And, of course we support Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF),
Lions Foundation of Canada (LFC), the Lions Eye Bank, the Lions Foundation of Manitoba and NW Ontario,
Sight First (a huge effort to erradicate unnecessary blindness, globally), the Journey for Sight fund raiser, diabetes, guide dogs, and other worthy causes.
Click on the DONATIONS button for a more complete listing. Our main fund raising efforts include a weekly bingo, two hockey drafts, and an annual community auction.
Donations to our club are always welcome, however, we are unable to issue tax receipts.
Requests for financial funding, or volunteer workers, can be sent to the Pres. or Sec., in writing, and we may request that you make a brief presentation, to the club, at a meeting.
Potential new members, male or female, are welcome. Contact any one of our members for more information.
