It has been prophesied that a mighty revival will sweep the earth as
never before.
I have personally experienced astonishing dreams and revelations about
it, and I am not alone.
Hundreds, or even thousands of others have had similar revelations.
The problem is, most Christians are expecting a blessing, but this wave
of God will also bring great judgment! It is a wave of holiness. It is
the King coming near and inspecting His vineyard. It will sweep away
the works of man. It will purge the church of her filthiness and
prepare the Bride of Christ. Many leaders will fall on their face and
weep because of the idols they have served in the course of their
ministries. Many are praying for this revival, but the church is not
making ready for revival. Some may not like this word, but the call
is...
Repent - Make Haste! Cleanse Yourself
and Be Ready.
For The Kingdom Of God Is At Hand
Repent, The Last Great Revival Is
Coming!
Revival happens when the Kingdom of God comes near. The awesome
presence of God and His rule dominates the atmosphere. Every move of
God, whether it was the coming of Jesus 2000 years ago, the Great
Awakening, or the Welsh Revival, has been preceded by repentance. A
people MUST be prepared, for God cannot dwell with sin. John the
Baptist cried "repent, prepare the way of the Lord". If the church
wants this much prophesied wave of the Holy Spirit to sweep the earth,
she must repent. Who can endure His coming? Our hearts are not right!
The Church Loves The Anointing, but
Neglects Righteousness
Some may say "But - the presence of God IS here! Theres such anointing!
What do you mean we need to repent?" We must understand: the anointing
is a "wiping on" of the Spirit to the natural man, it is not the
righteousness of God in the heart. Saul was anointed and prophesied,
but he lost the Kingdom. Balaam was anointed, and led Israel to sin.
Ananias and Sapphira were part of the first church! Modern "anointed
leaders" have been exposed as unholy men! Recently Christian television
even featured a story about God anointing a Hershey's Chocolate Bar.
Jesus warned those who relied on His power without holiness that these
words will be spoken: "Depart from me ye workers of iniquity, for I
never knew you" It's not about anointing, it's about righteousness.
God's glory came to Israel yet they continued to sin. Look how the Lord
felt when He "showed up" at Israel's feasts.
...I cannot endure solemn assemblies with iniquity. Isaiah 1:13 The
Lord was not watching Israel's worship and prayer from afar, but He was
tangibly present in their assemblies! He dwelled on the mercy seat
above the ark! Hear how the Lords heart was troubled over His people
who worshiped Him yet remained in sin.
Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a
trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them. 15 And when ye spread forth
your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many
prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood. 16 Wash you,
make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes;
cease to do evil. Isaiah 1:14-16
Useless Miracles
The church has become enthralled by the anointing of the Spirit and
forgotten holiness. I've seen it constantly, Christians who love the
anointing, but are living in sin! He pours out His Spirit to woo our
hearts. Instead we have become preoccupied with "useless miracles"and
neglected righteousness!
People flock to see gold, jewels and feathers! These can be real signs,
but signs of what? If no one heeds the sign, the miracle is useless.
Signs from God are designed to capture peoples heart. Gold says "The
silver and gold is mine. Turn from selfishness and fear! I am your
supply."
We do not need 'Miracle Prosperity Handkerchiefs"
We need " Miracle Prosperity Holiness"
The Anointing Does Not Impart Holiness
We are making the same mistake Israel made. We experience the Holy
presence of God's anointing and feel confident in our own holiness.
Holiness does not transfer that way. BUT that which is unclean does
contaminate us.
If one bear holy flesh in the skirt of his garment, and with his skirt
do touch bread, or pottage, or wine, or oil, or any food, shall it
become holy? And the priests answered and said, No. 13 Then said
Haggai, If one that is unclean by reason of a dead body touch any of
these, shall it be unclean? And the priests answered and said, It shall
be unclean. 14 Then answered Haggai and said, So is this people, and so
is this nation before me, saith Jehovah; and so is every work of their
hands; and that which they offer there is unclean Haggai 2:12-14
What sort of holiness does the Lord expect from us? We repent, turn to
the Lord and are pardoned from guilt by the blood of Jesus. We enter a
new life of righteousness by the power of the Spirit, where "sin no
longer has dominion". The life of righteous living produces holiness!
... for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to
iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to
righteousness unto holiness. Romans 6:)
Does God Judge The Church?
There is a false confidence in the church that a Christian cannot be in
danger. Current theology confines judgment in the church to discipline
and rewards. But there is much more in scripture than this.
Judgment as Discipline or Rewards
First, God does discipline His sons regarding sin. But notice the
reason. It is so we will not perish with the world.
"But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should
not be condemned with the world". I Corinthians 11:32
The Last Judgment - The Great White
Throne
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books
were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life:
and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the
books, according to their works. And whosoever was not found written in
the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.Revelation 20:12,15
The"Great White Throne" judgment, is often taught as a "judgment for
rewards" for Christians. This is because books of deeds are opened and
the dead are judged by them, but believers have their names in the book
of life and are safe. The thought is that the White Throne judgment
must be the same "day" that burns up our dead works in 1 Corinthians
3:15. (actually, "the day" can be any day that God acts in a judgment
on earth) This has resulted in a very casual approach to sin and
ignores the warnings found in the word of God. There are some VERY
SCARY SCRIPTURES that indicate we cannot be casual.
Names Can Be Blotted From the Book of
Life!
In Revelation 3 the Lord Jesus clearly clearly warned believers in the
church of Sardis to repent of defilement or risk having their name
blotted out of the book of life! John confirms this possibility in
chapter 22.
He that over cometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I
will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess
his name before my Father, and before his angels. Revelation 3:5
And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this
prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out
of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
Revelation 22:19
Besides the Last Judgment, there are many other indications that God
takes sin in the church seriously, and will act accordingly.
1. God May Fight Against Sinners In
The Church
Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against
them with the sword of my mouth. Revelation of John 2:16
2. God Will Remove A Church!
Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the
first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy
candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. (Revelation of John
2:5)
3. God May Send Tribulation In A
Church
Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with
her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
(Revelation of John 2:22)
4. God Will Come As A Thief
Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and
repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a
thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
(Revelation of John 3:3)
"Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God?
Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers,
nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves,
nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall
inherit the kingdom of God." I Corinthians 6:9,10
Conclusion
It is time to prepare for revival with great repentance in the house of
God. Let us, with a sincere heart and faith take his call in 2
Chronicals 7:14 seriously. We need to humble ourselves, and pray, seek
His face and turn from our wicked ways. Let us make way for the Lord .
Seriously. It is time for judgment to begin in the household of God.
