Reiki (Ray-key) is about as refined a bodywork technique as you'll find, a feather gentle Japanese equivalent to laying on of hands that has taken the West by - warm summer breeze. It's like a meditation, really, shared by healer and healee. In that spirit, British composer Llewellyn, in collaboration with Reiki Master Tina Allison, has created a sequence of 12 gossamer tone poems "that will perfectly compliment [sic] Reiki sessions," according to the pretty primer that comes with this pretty pink and gold CD.
This is spacey, mega-reverberant, Sino-tinged music - tinkly, flutey, you know the drill - that successfully walks the fine line between not disturbing and not boring. It would complement and facilitate any meditation, trance, or reverie.
