Profile:
The Mosquitos have bumbled and fumbled so far in the AHL. The Mosquitos have had some very talented players, but they've also had some infamously poor players that have anchored this franchise near the bottom. Give them credit for their benevolence because they've given a lot of discarded players a second chance at an AHL career. They've managed to rejuvenate some careers but not enough.
They came close to cracking the top-4 in the 2002-2003 season where
they were half a stinger away from 4th. However, with Forsberg
deciding to take the year off, Koivu's battle with cancer and Owen
Nolan's late-season 11-game suspension...(WOW!!), this team did
remarkably well. You'd think this team had used up all its bad luck
so it should be nothing but rainbows and sunshine from now on,
right?
Given their history, holding our breath we are not. |
