Profile:
Established as one of the original AHL franchises in 1992. Although they have consistently been viewed as a contender, the Warriors (formerly the McNall's Millionaires) have yet to claim the main prize. At first, they proved to be one of the AHL's richest franchises as prize money allowed them to operate "in the black" mostly every AHL season. It had been rumored, yet still remains a mystery, whether Bruce McNall actually funded L.A. Kings' operations with this AHL prize money! The Millionaires club was ignored in the seizure of McNall's assets and to this day remains unimplicated in the infamous court case. However, as went the woes of Bruce McNall so did the Millionaires. In most recent years, The Millionaires have been serving sentence; confined to the depths of the AHL standings and relinquished from privileges of the upper class. The controversy proved too much for the Millionaires and in the summer of 2003 the franchise was sold and promptly moved down the street to Hollywood.
