Profile:
Boom or bust. The A-Pucks don't do anything half-way, it's either the Penthouse or the Outhouse, and in the last few years....let's just say that if you plan on visiting them, bring some nose plugs. The A-Pucks have never concentrated much on the draft and have focused their resources on acquiring big-name players and then rounding out the lineup with whatever is left. Unfortunately, with 2 or 3 players monopolizing the bulk of the A-Puck salary cap and a less-than-stellar supporting cast, the A-Pucks routinely miss the President's Cup playoffs and are out of the AHL Championship by Christmas. This franchise needs to build a good, solid core to work from that won't cripple their budget. Otherwise, all the big name signees ain't gonna do diddly. |
